San Rafael Airport is located near the shores of the San Francisco Bay. Due to the geography of the area, ground settling is not uncommon and causes depressions in our taxiways and tarmacs. Typically, this results in severe alligatoring of the asphalt surface.

I applied a test patch of FloMix Asphalt Repair to a badly alligatored depression, intentionally not covering the entire area of damage: I wanted a "worst case scenario" to test the durability of the repair, even if the cracks extended beyond the FloMix patch. The FloMix was extremely easy to prepare and apply by one man, requiring no specialized tools nor significant effort.

I was able to thinly feather the patch into the edge of the depression with no bump. Once it cured, the FloMix appeared completely impenetrable -- the stuff is absolutely rock-solid! After more than 6 months, there has been zero breakdown of the FloMix patch, even at the feather edge or where the existing cracks propagate from the edges of the patch. I expect it to last for years. FloMix has exceeded my expectations and we will be using more of this remarkable product.

I save on labor - 40% of the crew needed for the asphalt crew, in fact it can be spot-applied by a single worker. To make it even more economical, I extend it by mixing it with clean aggregate.

I need a product to handle crack repairs, spalling, and particularly bridge decks and approaches where different rates of flexibility are a problem. I've tried all the alternatives but nothing works like this.
